Hari ini diberitakan bahawa 32 Cawangan UMNO daripada UMNO Bahagian UMNO Gua Musang mencalonkan Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah atau lebih dikenali dengan nama Ku Li sebagai calon Presiden UMNO menentang Abdullah Haji Ahmad Al-Badawi. Mungkin berita ini akan sedikit mengembirakan kita.

Terlebih dahulu penulis ucapkan jutaan tahniah buat 32 Cawangan UMNO yang berani membuat keputusan demikian. Penulis berharap tindakan mereka akan dicontohi oleh cawangan-cawangan UMNO seluruh negara yang lain.

Sebelum ini, UMNO Cawangan Kampung Ubai daripada Bahagian juga telah membuat usul yang berani iaitu mencalonkan Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak sebagai Calon Presiden yang bakal menentang Abdullah Haji Ahmad Al-Badawi. Namun usul tersebut disambut dingin termasuklah daripada Datuk Seri Najib Al-Penakuti Tun Razak sendiri dan memilih untuk tidak bertanding.

Jelas sekali usul yang dibawa oleh UMNO Cawangan Kampung Ubai menjadi usul yang sia-sia. Bagi mana cawangan UMNO seluruh negara yang belum membuat sebarang usul atau keputusan penulis berharap agar mereka tidak akan mengeluarkan usul sia-sia. Konsepnya mudah sebagai contoh sekiranya kita ingin menyuap seseorang itu dengan nasi tetapi orang yang kita hendak suap itu tidak mahukanya malah menutup ketat mulutnya itu adalah perbuatan sia-sia.

Jadi sekiranya mana-mana cawangan UMNO bercadang mengusulkan siapa yang bakal lawan Presiden hendaklah dipastikan bahawa orang yang dicalonkan itu memang mahukan makan nasi jadi senanglah bagi kita untuk menyuapnya sebagai contoh Tengku Razaleigh mungkin yang terbaik untuk dijadikan calon menentang Presiden UMNO Abdullah Al-Bohongi.

Berbalik dengan kedudukan semasa sekarang bermakna Tengku Razaleigh sudah mendapat 32 pencalonan Cawangan, manakala Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak hanya mendapat 1 pencalonan cawangan. Jadi kesimpulan sekarang ialah Tengku Razaleigh mendahului Najib dengan 32 pencalonan cawangan.

Kepada cawangan-cawangan UMNO seluruh negara perlulah berani mengemukakan usul berani sama seperti yang diusulkan oleh 32 cawangan UMNO daripada UMNO Bahagian Gua Musang dan 1 Cawangan UMNO daripada Bahagian Pekan. Bersamalah kita membuat perubahan kepimpinan di dalam UMNO.

Denne våren 2008 har fem fylker - Buskerud, Østfold, Vestfold, Hordaland og Troms - satset på det nyttige og nyskapende kursopplegget 23 ting.

Kurset er utpreget praktisk. Ved å delta på 23 ting får deltakerne både demonstrert og selv prøvd ut en lang rekke 2.0-tjenester. Siden dette er gratistjenester, som ligger lett tilgjengelig på nettet, kan alle ta dem i bruk både hjemme og på jobben uten at det koster en øre.

Oppslutningen har vært gledelig høy - selv om det ymtes at biblioteksjefene har pushet på for at så mange som mulig skulle delta. Men det skal de bare ha ros for: som ledere har de jo et direkte ansvar for personalets etterutdanning og kompetanseoppbygging.

To hundre blogger

Jeg har nå sett gjennom de nærmere to hundre bloggene som deltakerne fra Buskerud, Vestfold og Østfold opprettet i forbindelse med kurset. Deltakernes kommentarer til kursene har vært svært positive. Det er bred enighet om at de har lært mye nytt, og at de nå er i stand til å forstå webutviklingen på en langt bedre måte enn før.

Men vi må også spørre: hvilken virkning har kursene på bibliotekarenes praksis? Begynner deltakerne - og bibliotekene de kommer fra - å ta 2.0-verktøy i bruk?

Det er en større oppgave. Etter at kurset ble avsluttet i april er det bare tre deltakere som har fortsatt å blogge - og en av disse har vært en aktiv blogger siden 2005. De tre videreførte kursbloggene er:

1. Bøker, bibiotek og annet babbel
2. Anne Grethes blogg
3. Ireneve

Det betyr ikke at kursene var malplassert - men at reell endring i dagliglivets innarbeidede rutiner krever mer enn kurstilbud.

Jeg er sikker på at det har skjedd mye annet positivt i kjølvannet av kursene - og håper bibliotekene som deltok vil skrive om tida etter kurset. Forandringsarbeid blir lettere hvis erfaringene deles. Vi trenger bakkekontakt - som er et annet ord for kunnskapsbasert praksis.

Endring krever tre ting

Men jeg vil også si noe generelt om innovasjon og endringsledelse.

Teknologidrevet endring har tre komponenter: systemutvikling, kompetanseutvikling og organisasjonsutvikling. Det spesielle ved to-null er at systemutviklingen skjer utenfor organisasjonen - og at de nye systemene er gratis tilgjengelige.

Tjuetre ting er et opplegg for kompetanseutvikling. Som læringstilbud er også det usedvanlig billig: tre samlinger pluss utprøving i ledige perioder på jobben (???) eller i fritda. Men skal 2.0-tjenester bli en del av bibliotekets regulære tilbud, må det også gjennomføres en systematisk endringsprosess i organisasjonen. To-null kan ikke bare klaskes oppå de eksisterende tjenester, som jordbær og pisket krem på toppen av sukkerbrødet.

Biblioteket er ikke et lekeland, men et arbeidssted.

Nye tilbud krever vedvarende tid, penger, omtanke og oppmerksomhet. Arbeid er noe du gjør fra dag til dag enten du føler for det eller ikke. To-null tatt på alvor er arbeid - ikke en hobby for de spesielt interesserte.

Lærende organisasjon

Med andre ord: fortsett med 23 ting - men sørg samtidig for å forplikte organisasjonen til å inkludere ett eller flere to-null tiltak i sin daglige drift. Gjerne som en forsøksordning i en periode - som må være lang nok til å gi et solid erfaringsgrunnlag. Det betyr som oftest å flytte ressurser bort fra noen tradisjonelle oppgaver - med tilhørende hyl og skrik - og over til nye områder.

Organisasjonsutvikling krever endringsvilje. Hvis alle skal være enige om alt, går det tregt som maur i sirup. Men biblioteklederne kan heller ikke nøye seg med å utstede marsjordre. To-null dreier seg om nye typer tjenester - og må forankres i nye forståelser, begreper, tenkemåter og samtaleformer.

Det er organisasjonen som helhet som må lære. De ansatte kan - og bør - gå på kurs. Men det er ledelsen som må sørge for de lærende diskusjonene - om bibliotekets nye rolle og oppgaver.

I finally picked up a twitter account.  It's only as good as it is popular with my friends, and by all accounts, it is unpopular with my friends and therefore no good to me.  I'll play with it a bit and see what happens, though.  Apparently, Twitter is the way to go when it comes to Web 2.0.  It almost makes me want to use my cell phone. almost.

Picking up twitter has caused some blogging issues to surface, though.  I'm a big fan of Wordpress and Wordpress.com, and generally keep my thoughts on WP.com's servers, because they're reliable, quick, and hooked right into Googlebot's veins like some sort of IV drip - What one writes on WP.com, others can easily and quickly find on google.  yay.  Its WYSIWYG interface is the darling of blogging and CMS platforms, and its ability to integrate store and integrate images in posts puts the Blogger/Picasa to shame.

The problem lies in Wordpress.com's strict No-Java policy for its widgets.  Java can do nasty things and can create massive security leaks, so in many way's WP.com/Automattic's policy is wise.  It keeps their blogging platform safe and secure.  But it prevents it from being robust, which is awful, considering the standalone WP.org manifestation is prasied time and again for its versatility.  Without Java, one can't properly integrate all those "Web 2.0" widgets we've all fallen in love with.  There is no way to properly integrate, for instance, Twitter updates, Last.fm charts, LibraryThing notes, or even proper webstats on the backend.  Yes, one could object and say I could certainly integrate a simple RSS feed of my Twitter status, but really now, I've done a lot of with text on the internet, and I don't want to go back to 1996.  My days of dial-up freenet access through Gophers and FTPs are well in the past, and I have no desire to return to them.  WinSock was cute, but not cute enough.

This is an issue where Wordpress.com has fallen flat on its feet.  I would love to see the Automattic people offer more hardcoded widgets for various Web 2.0 projects, but after surfing its WP.com site for over two years now, I'm willing to say they're well behind the curve on this.  It makes me want to drop WP.com altogether and go back to blogspot.  And since the majority of my faithful readers actually read this through my portable Feedburner feed, it is damn easy to make the switch with little hardship to be faced by either the writer or the audience.

Non credo di far danno dicendo che, oltre a Italianication, dovrebbe nascere pure un pargoletto bello stronzo. Staremo a vedere. Ferien in Balkonia

Nach dem Regen scheint wieder die Sonne und wie meine Sonnenblumen brauche ich viel Sonne und die geniesse ich auf meinem grossen Balkon. Jetzt ist die beste Zeit um meine Freizeit auf dem Balkon zu verbringen und bei uns ist es in der Sommerzeit auch schön und wenn das Wetter mit spielt, dann wird es nächste Woche sogar richtig warm. Bei uns wird es langsam ruhig, und wenn ich in die Migros oder den Coop gehe, hat es wenige Menschen und ich kann in aller Ruhe Einkaufen. Und wenn ich ins Kino will ist das Lichtspieltheater fast leer und am Abend wenn ich in ein Restaurant gehe, dann werde ich überall zuvorkommend bedient. Auch im Internet wenn ich so in den letzten Tagen im Netz ein wenig rumgesurft bin, ist mir aufgefallen dass viele von den Blogs, die ich so regelmässig besuche einen Beitrag führen, so ungefähr im Stil ,,wir sind dann mal weg,, oder ,,wir sind im Süden, bis auf weiteres keine Beiträge.

Ich bleibe Zuhause und zwar auf meinem schönen Balkon, in meinem schönen Balkon-Garten.

Mich würde interessieren, wer von meinen Lesern bleibt auch zu Hause und macht Ferien auf Balkonia.

My list of bookmarks was already probably long enough to reach from here to eternity but it looks like I'll be adding more bookmarks related to blogging too so I can fine tune things. Sigh....

Di blog ini, saya mencoba menggunakan bahasa yang agak formal. Karena biasanya blog-blog saya isinya kata2 seenak perut saya. Dan sumpah, ngga enak dibaca. Lagipula setelah memasuki dunia kerja, sayapun harus terbiasa menggunakan kata2 formal seperti dalam telenovela. Dulu mungkin saya berkata "Ni komputer mo dipake kaga?" dan sekarang saya harus berkata "Apakah anda ingin menggunakan komputer ini?". Aneh memang, tapi mau bagaimana lagi kalau itu sebuah tuntutan profesi untuk berbicara formal di depan semua orang.

Dan seperti blog saya yang lain, template pun seadanya. Maksud seadanya disini bukan hitam putih macam DOS Prompt ataupun Microsoft Word, tapi se-tersedia-nya. Bukan karena tidak ingin menggantinya. Tapi karena saya benar2 tidak bisa menggantinya.

Tapi, semakin lama kok kata-katanya jadi semakin mirip dengan blog bangpay ya??
